Numbers 25:9 And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand.
1 Corinthians 10:8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
"And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand." vs. "Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand."

The passage in Numbers refers to the total number of deaths from the plague, while 1 Cor. 10:8 is referring only to those people who died in 1 day of the plague.
