Jesus' Genealogy

Matthew 1:6 - And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;
Luke 3:31 - Which was the son of Melea, which was the son of Menan, which was the son of Mattatha, which was the son of Nathan, which was the son of David,

This may have already been up here, though I have yet to see it.
In Matthew it states that David is the father of Solomon and continues on to Christ, whereas Luke states that David is the father of Nathan and continues to Christ. This is more that just a simple "oops".

Expanding on Jare's answer, the Jews had a rule that "the family of a mother is not called a family," see [Juchasin, fol. 55. 2.]. For this reason, to give Mary's lineage, they would have to address Joseph, which was still fine because he was the Son (in law) of Heli, having married Mary, Heli's daughter.

The legitimacy of Mary being the daughter of Heli is further substantiated by external Jewish sources such as [T. Hieros. Sanhedrin, fol. 25. 3.], which addresses Mary as "Mary the daughter of Eli".
