Problem
Is Timna male or female?
"And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau's son; and she bare to Eliphaz Amalek: these were the sons of Adah Esau's wife." vs. "The sons of Eliphaz; Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek."

Apparently, Eliphaz named one of his sons after his concubine. This may sound weird, but there are plenty of names used today that can be used for both a boy and a girl:
    • Chris

    • Gene

    • Dana

    • Terry

    • Jamie

    • Pat

There are many others, but I think you get the point. Even though Timna isn't very popular today, this scenario wouldn't be any different than if a man had a wife named Chris, and then named his son Chris also.
