    This is a common contradiction amongst scoffers. Probably the order of events went like this; Judas betrayed Jesus, and after feeling remorse rid himself of the blood-money by casting it down. He then went and hung himself by a rope which may have snapped, dropping his body down upon rocks which would have torn his body, and thus causing him to burst assunder.
