Problem
Will the Earth last for ever or be destroyed? In Psalms, the Lord has founded the earth that it shouldn't be removed for ever, but in II Peter God is destroying the earth. How can something be established for ever and then be destroyed?	Date: Jan 11, 2008 By: Mrs E 15 Problems 1 Solution

It does not say that the earth as we know it will last forever, its says the "FOUNDATIONS" of the earth will last forever, which means something that is founded. The earth can be destroyed and a new earth comes without destroying the foundations, because the earth will still be existant, just the old one will pass away. No contradiction because it does not break "the foundation" of the earth.
