Drinking wine in Moderation?
Bishops are instructed to be "Not given to wine" and Deacons are instructed to be "Not given to much wine". Does the word "much" imply that deacons or say members can have a little wine provided they do not get drunk?

I teach and preach both verses teach against drinking wine. The verses are phrased differant to allow the testing of the heart:) but in the old websters dictionary ,one of the meanings of the word much means : to prise or give attention too or treat with kindness or attention. So neither the pastor of deacon are to give attention and not be given to wine preacher not given to wine, deacon not given to much wine. it means the same . hope that helps.
