10:7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
“I am the door of the sheep”
The shepherd work of our Lord has three aspects:
(1) As the "Good" Shepherd He gives His life for the sheep John 10:11 and is, therefore, "the door" by which "if any man enter in he shall be saved." John 10:9. This answers to Psalms 22.
(2) He is the "Great" Shepherd, "brought again from the dead" Heb 13:20 to care for and make perfect the sheep. This answers to Psalms 23.
(3) He is the "Chief" Shepherd, who is coming in glory to give crowns of reward to the faithful shepherds 1 Pet 5:4. This answers to Psalms 24.
10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
“other sheep”
i.e. not of the Jewish fold, but Gentiles. John 10:4; Isa 56:8; John 17:20; Acts 15:7–9.
10:20 And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him?

10:21 Others said, These are not the words of him that hath a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?
