The Years

Began AD 37
“Caius gave him the Kingdome, and the third part of the ancient dominion that his unckle Philip possessed”
Ended AD 44
“being eaten up of worms he gave up the ghost”

Herod the king (Acts 12:1), called Agrippa by Josephus: Caius gave him Philip's tetrarchy as a kingdom, then Herod the tetrarch's, and Claudius added Judaea. The angel of the Lord smote him at Caesarea (Acts 12:23).

Dated by Archbishop James Ussher’s Annals of the World (1658), quoted as printed, whose dates were printed in the margins of King James Bibles for two centuries.
