Joseph was thirty when he stood before Pharaoh (Genesis 41:46); after the seven years of plenty and two of famine (Genesis 45:6), Jacob came into Egypt an hundred and thirty years old (Genesis 47:9). So Jacob was ninety and one when Joseph was born.
Dated by Archbishop James Ussher’s Annals of the World (1658), quoted as printed, whose dates were printed in the margins of King James Bibles for two centuries.
