The Kingdoms of Israel

2 Samuel – 2 Kings

Judah Alone, about 700 BC

“The king of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away into Assyria” (2 Kings 17:6). Sennacherib took the fenced cities of Judah (18:13), but of Jerusalem the LORD said, “He shall not come into this city” (19:32).
